The Present

In the story from Luke 1.39-56, Mary bursts into song. But it's for a good reason. Mary is all caught up in the goodness of God and can't help but sing. Because Mary is living a surrendered life, she's living to music that not everybody can hear. Despite the difficulty of what's going on around her, she can't help but to sing and to praise God. Surrender will naturally lead your heart to worship. It's the pre-requisite to worship. While Mary is not the object of our worship, she is certainly a model for us and can teach us how to worship.
