Financials/Giving
SouthBrook is financially supported and resourced through the gifts of the people in this faith community. Giving is a way of showing that God is ultimately the owner and ruler of this world and our lives. One aspect of spiritual growth is to trust God's directives in our lives, including the way we manage our finances. The principle of tithing, or giving 10% of your income, is a helpful guideline from the Old Testament. We encourage people who want to experience the faithfulness of God to try tithing, or to move toward tithing as their circumstances allow. If interested, please view our weekend and quarterly giving totals.
Investing and participating in the local church is a way to make the kingdom of God more visible in this world. Below are a few ways to give and be a part of what God is doing through this church.
Online Giving![]()
To give a real gift in a virtual way, online giving is a safe, easy and flexible option which allows the scheduling of a recurring or one–time gift charged to your checking account, debit or credit card.
Bank Bill Payment
To use a bank's online bill payment service, provide your bank with the mailing information below to send a monthly tithe check to SouthBrook:
SouthBrook Christian Church
Attn: Giving
9095 Washington Church Road
Miamisburg, Ohio 45342
If your bank's service allows an account number to be specified, please enter as much of your street address as the system allows. In case the bank does not provide your address information, this will help us to post your gift correctly without having to contact you directly.
Automated Giving
To deduct a monthly offering from your bank account, sign up for our Automated Giving Program. Stop by the Welcome Counter and complete a direct payment authorization form or call the church for more details.
Mail Donations
To mail a donation, please make checks payable to SouthBrook Christian Church and mail to the address noted under Bank Bill Payment.
Stock Donations
Giving stock is a means of supporting SouthBrook's mission and receiving an enhanced tax benefit. In most cases, when giving appreciated stock to SouthBrook, you will receive donation credit for the value of the stock on the date we receive. Additionally, you do not have to pay taxes on the appreciated value of the stock.
If the stock has lost value, you can also receive an enhanced tax benefit. You can sell it, claim the loss on your income tax return, and receive donation credit for the cash proceeds that you give to SouthBrook.
In either case, please contact your tax advisor before initiating any stock transaction, as these enhanced tax benefits may not be applicable in some situations.
To ensure we receive your stock gift by the end of the year, all stock transactions must be initiated by the first week of December.
To give a year-end gift, the IRS requires all checks to be postmarked by Dec. 31.
