If you wish to be married by a SouthBrook pastor, please let us know at least six months in advance of the big event.

SouthBrook offers a Premarital Mentoring Ministry designed to help couples build a Christ-centered marriage. Completion of the premarital mentoring process is required for any couple that wishes to be married by a SouthBrook pastor.

Prior to meeting with a mentor couple, you and your future spouse will be asked to complete an assessment, which will help uncover areas of strengths and areas of potential concerns. You are matched with a mentor couple who will meet with you four to six times to discuss topics such as marriage expectations, communication, conflict resolution, financial management, sexual expectations, children and parenting, family and friends, roles and spiritual beliefs.

You should leave your mentoring sessions with new insights and realistic expectations of what marriage will be like. In the years to come, your mentors can also serve as a valuable resource for you as your relationship continues to evolve.
